My daughter loves to climb! I don´t know how many photos I have of her on her way up. Up, up and away seemed the perfect choice for these photos. They even have the right title.
I love to use my sewing machine on my layouts. Here I have stitched around the layout and cut between the stitches with a craft knife. An other passion of mine, as you might noticed, is to cut the patterns from the papers. Here I used the pattern from the Clowns specialty paper and from the Moon ride paper.

En biljett och en luftballong i chipboard. Här syns också det sydda vågmönstret på nära håll. Min avancerade symaskin syr vågor på egen hand vilket är fiffigt om man vill ha det jämt och fint. |
This week, as I might have mentioned earlier, is my week to blog at Kaisercraft. I do that together with two other talented ladies of the design team. This is my first layout and also the one I am most pleased with. The text on the photo is a rub on from Kaisercraft and the sentiment couldn´t be more suitable. The truth is, we not only wished, hoped and asked for a daughter but I was 100 percent convinced that our first (and only as it turned out) child would be a girl, long before she even was conceived. We never even thought of boy names when we was expecting her.
Yesterday was my first time blogging for Nikki Sivils. It was a bit scary but I´m so in love with those papers that I´m quite happy with the layout I made. Its so totally different from what I usually do color wise, perhaps that is the reason for me falling in love…
I´ve used the “My Friend Birdie” collection for these summery photos. They are taken on the day after Midsummer (a Swedish holiday), and it was one of the first really warm days of summer here.
The “My Friend Birdie” line has a round die cut paper with scalloped edges, it is so beautiful, but I just couldn’t fit it in on this layout, so instead, I used those “scallops” by cutting them two by two and make the borders for the photo.
This is a card I made for my nice, she loves purple and the “Boo-tiful” line was perfect for this. My daughter was a bit worried that she might notice that the card is made of Halloween papers,
My dear daughter has also been creating, she made this card and a part of me is a bit envious, her card shows so much more creativity then mine!
As you might have noticed, I can barely make a layout without using the sewing machine. It is actually the only thing my sewing machine used for nowadays. Back when I bought the machine it was fairly advanced and coasted more than I care to remember. Perhaps that is why I live in the illusion that it will keep on working till the day I die. However, the other night, I got quite an uncomfortable awakening from this illusion when the machine all of the sudden decided to die on me, rather than waiting for me to die… Thank God I managed to talk some reason in it and it started to work again, rather shaky but better then not at al.
On this layout I have even used two different colors on my zigzagging. The more part of the rest of the material is from this months big kit from Skaparlustens. I can´t for the life of me understand how Ilona manages to put together these wonderful kits month after month.
There are more sneak peaks at Nikki Sivils so dont miss to visit her blogg. Especially if you, like me, LOVE dots...
This post is especially for my "sis" Lilo who is so mad about her birds that she is actually starting up a business named after one of them. I thought she might like these sneaks att Nikki Sivils, and perhaps some of you will also like it. So visit Nikki to see the rest of the collection.
This layout might not be entirely me, as you might notice. Or, maybe it is exactly that, ME. Cause lately I have find my self drawn to this more clean and graphic style and started al my layouts with the goal to achieve something like this. The thing is, I never seam to be satisfied before I have decorated, and over decorated the layout. In this case, I´m actually not dissatisfied at al.
Al I have done to decorate is to make a flower from the patterned paper by using 3D-tape. I have also printed the journaling and part of the title which is al the deco this layout neads.
One of the reasons for me scraping a4- layouts (the European equivalent of letter size 21x29,5 cm) was actually an issue of costs. I simply got tired of buying expensive albums that I filled up in no time at al. I decided to find something cheaper which a4 sized binders definitely are. My first choice wasn’t the best, but now I have found these binders, they keep more of my layouts and I actually think they look quite good.
So, on demand (from Melissa) here is my books that keeps my a4 layouts.
I got the big kit for this month from Skaparlusten. It contains gorgeous papers in mild colors and earth tones. I just love them!
This layout doesn´t look like "me", there is something missing even though I cant figure out what. Perhaps it is the thorn edges, distressing and a bit more disorder.
