I´m continuing my deep dive in to my old papers. Some of these I can´t even remember that I bought. But I feel happy every time I find something like this, the one with the flower pattern is from Colorbök. I didn´t even know they make papers. But gorgeous isn´t it?
I know I have mentioned that I have a soft spot for dots, but I didn´t actually plan to have dots on each and every layout I made since I switched to the A4-size. It sort of just happened…
I think, I somehow got stuck, not only in this size, but in the category ”unusual colors”. At least for being me. I don’t think I have ever made a layout with sharp green and purple, but in this case I´m actually happy with the color combo. Again, I have used papers from my time as Prima Hybrid Flower Girl and even though they aren´t exactly new, I actually like them more and more for each time I use them. But then again, is it possible not to like dots?
As you can see, I´ve followed the trend to use the packaging of Prima flowers again, but this time I think the words “Flower embellishments” suits better then ever for these midsummer photos.
It was Grandma who began with this teeth-thing. I firmly believe that it was her own false teeth Isabel got in a bag of candy grandma gave her. That is of cause something both of them denies. Any ways… perhaps it’s a good thing Isabel loves those false teeths she might need them in about 80-90 years.
I´ve used some old paper lines from Prima, from my time as Prima Hybrid Flower Girl. My first, and only brief debut as a designer for a U.S. manufacturer. But you have to have dreams, right? It would be a shame if all were met. And, as you see… Im hooked on this size of layouts… I even dream about them at night ;)
This is this weeks challange at Skaparlusten - to crate a lyout without flowers or/and to scrap your most recent photo. This is pics from this weekend and Isabels snow-diveing.
I kind of have fallen for this format and the more graphic style it is perfect for. But of cause with a Moma-twist of it.
This month, I have the honor to visit to be the guest designer ofLittle Yellow House of Kits! If you're not already familiar with their fantastic kits you should visit their blog right away.
Yes, I realize you may not even believe I created the layout above myself. I don’t blame you, cause when I look at it, I almost cant believe it either. It´s not only the style that is so different from my usual but also the size.
All these years I´ve been scrapbooking, I have never even considered the idea to scrap in the size of A4. But, when I see Tettes wonderful work of art, I get inspired even though she doesn’t even scrap that size so often. Tette is a true inspiration to me and I guess I did scraplift one of her layouts here.
And of cause, I have to admit that there are certain points of scrapping in this size, the major point being the economic one. Binders and plastic covers in this size costs a fraction of what I spend on 12X12 albums, especially considering that my bulky layouts fills them up in no time at al.
This layout is more of “me” isn’t it? But guess what? It wasn´t half as much fun doing this one as the top one.
This cute little chipboard kit landed in my mailbox last Friday. It comes with the dress plus details to use to embellish, like heart shaped buttons, pockets and a bow. Al you have to do is to find the right matching papers and get to work. This was so much fun to do even though I´m not generally the altering kind.
While I was at it, of cause Isabel got inspired. She used the remaining chipboard frame, the one you get after pressing out the dress, and draw her own dress. Good thing she could do that cause she used up several dresses before she got bored. She also made this cute dress for her Teddy. I´m starting to see her as the next Yves Saint Laurent, or Coco…
